EU / US Leaders survey

In 2006 and 2007, Gallup Europe and Friends of Europe joined forces to conduct US and EU leaders' surveys on the important topics of the day. Leaders were drawn from all the worlds of government, business and civil society, and subjects under the spotlight included homeland security strategies, transport and the environment, innovation and the EU-US-China policy. In these fascinating polls, the responses of EU and US leaders highlighted issues where there was much common ground and others where there were widely-diverging views.

These leaders' polls were part of the Friends of Europe's "Atlantic Rendez-Vous" series designed to increase the awareness of issues on which the EU and US could further cooperate or where renewed impetus was needed. The use of satellite links between Brussels and Washington heightened the sense of topicality within the debates. Policymakers, opinion formers and the international media on both sides of the Atlantic received comprehensive reports based on the polls, debates and interviews with leading figures of the day.

Links to the full reports of these surveys are shown below.
