Measuring
the Emotional Economy in Europe
Jan
van Dijk from the UN Centre for International Crime Prevention
helped to understand the policy-relevant use of victimisation
data. He also introduced the results of a recent scaling of
the countries according to levels of serious white collar
crimes, which include government corruption, mafia, other
forms of organised crime. He pointed out that this ranking
is closer to our common-sense understanding of global distribution
of crime.
