Faktum: The "yes" camp
will celebrate on Sunday
The
most recent poll conducted by Faktum found 77% of the
504 telephone survey respondents intend to participate
in the referendum next Sunday. More than half, 56% of
total respondents declared to vote for EU membership,
while 16% intend to vote in opposition, leaving 16%
undecided. Yet, of these undecided, under half (43%)
lean towards supporting the EU, while 16% say they lean
towards opposition (41% were unwilling to claim a tendency
in either direction). Additionally, those who are convinced
of their intention to vote yes reaches 56%,
and those who are only hesitantly pro-EU make up a much
smaller percentage of supporters, only 12%. From this
we can see that supporters generally feel strongly about
their choice. Overall, from their most recent study,
Faktum predicts that current support for joining the
EU in Estonia is as high as 73%.
