Business survey carried out in April by Business Centre Club (BCC)
N=1650 (presidents or members of Board of Directors of Polish companies)

The Businessmen Will Vote for the Accession to European Union

Almost 100% of businessmen surveyed by Business Centre Club will vote for Polish accession to European Union - results from BCC's questionnairies.

In April BCC asked 1650 businessmen from 16 voivodeships about Polish membership in EU.
Marek Goliszewski - the President of BCC - said that over 99% of surveyed businessmen would vote "for" Polish membership in European Union.

"This is the surprising result"- said President of BCC.

Commentating upon the results, Goliszewski said, it testifies that businessmen distrust in current economic policy. Businessmen count on forcing the government to make economic reform after joining the EU. They hope to reduce corruption, bureaucracy and to increase civil rights. They count on financial support from the EU as well.

In opinion of Marek Goliszewski businessmen have also fears of Polish accession to EU. Some of them are afraid of competition, but their hopes connected with Polish membership in EU are stronger than fears.
